Why IAEM?
Environmental problems of the Agro-Food complex are integrating within rural territories. First of all, that is relevant for protection and rational exploitation of soils, water and biological resources, for production of safe food products and for harmonization of people living conditions. IAEM is the best platform for systemic management of problems of productivity increase, economic efficiency, competitiveness of food production, development of sustainable development strategies of Agro-Food complex, creation of environmentally balanced agrarian ecosystems, as well as implementation of research results in activities of SME’s.
IAEM is the most suitable scientific institution to be a leading organization of the cluster “Agro-Ecology” within Ukrainian NTP “Agro-Food”. In the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences IAEM is a leading institutions of the Science and methodology center “Agro-Ecology” and this gives a capability to fulfill complex researches on the issues of safe exploitation of natural resources potential, increase of productivity and improvement of food products quality in all soil and climate zones of Ukraine.
The Institute is a member of the National Association of Children Nutrition Producers of Ukraine. The Institute is also an authorized organization with responsibilities to analyze information materials and prepare agro-ecological substantiation regarding correspondence of arable lands to the status of special resource zone. IAEM holds a membership in international organization COST in the field of science and technology cooperation and belongs to COST 859 section (Agricultural Science and Biotechnologies).
IAEM has a post-graduate department and a specialized council for defense of Candidates of Sciences and Doctors of Sciences dissertations. The Institute issues science theoretical journal “Agro-Ecology Journal” which is included by the Higher Attestation Commission to the list of specialized journals in the field of agricultural and biological sciences.
